Required Hours
Weekend Seminars: 75 Hours

Students must be present for all weekend seminars. If you miss any part of a weekend you must take private lessons (additional cost of $85 per hour missed) to make-up the missed material.

Personal Practice: 55 hours
Personal practice hours are untaught hours of workouts on the equipment and the mat with a minimum of 35 hours done on the equipment.

Observation: 45 hours
There are three resources for observation:
(1) Watching lessons I post online. There will be a private website where you can access these posted lessons.
(2) Subscribe to PilatesAnytime.com or CarriePagesPilates.com and view full hour/approved lessons. I will provide you with a list of approved sessions.
(3) Observe lessons taught in an approved Pilates studio. It is a privilege to watch a student's session and you're expected to present yourself in a professional manner at all times. Instructors reserve the right to dismiss you if your behavior is inappropriate at any time.
Observation guidelines:
Never ask questions or interrupt a session in anyway.
Do not eat, lie down, text message, read, talk on your cell phone or seem uninterested at any time.
Keep the area where you are sitting clear of clutter.
Sit on the periphery of the studio. Do not sit on a reformer or the Cadillac.
Thank the student after the session for allowing you to observe and clean off any equipment they used.

Apprenticeship/ Practice Teaching 30 Hours
As an apprentice you will teach family members or friends for a fee of $25 per session. This gives you the experience of teaching Pilates while working with people who understand that you're in a learning process. You are responsible for recruiting these students. The $25 fee is paid directly to the studio as a “studio rental fee” and not your rate per session.
